On-demand email and one-to-one marketing solutions provider ExactTarget has launched a new enterprise-level integration with Twitter, which will give marketers a solution to automatically generate Tweets based on email content.
The integration enables marketers to select content in an ExactTarget-powered email and trigger a Tweet and a direct message to followers automatically when the email is sent.
The ExactTarget Twitter integration allows marketers to select email content to Tweet from ExactTarget`s user interface. Using ExactTarget`s automation tools, the content is automatically transferred to Twitter when the email is sent, creating a Tweet from the marketer`s Twitter account.
Marketers can also opt to automatically direct message followers with the update from ExactTarget`s user interface.

The launch of ExactTarget`s Twitter integration follows the release of ExactTarget`s Social Media Kit. The kit provides insight on social media trends and includes research conducted by Ball State University, the Email Marketer`s Club and ExactTarget.
