| Last week at my Christmas party I had a drunken snog with my boss - who I have fancied for ages. But now everyone at work knows and I am at the centre of all gossip. Has anyone been in this situation, and what did they do?

| How many people saw? How many have you told? How many is he likely to have told? What's happened since? You can't really turn back the clock on something like this. Deal with it, deny everything and get on with your job. Or find a new job. I find, a good rule of thumb is to ask yourself, "What would ******* do?". Insert any name, apart from Britney.

| Forget about it and move on as what else can you do? Also don't get drunk around him or her for a while. Today's gossip is tomorrow's old news. In time, you'll come to laugh about it but just say to yourself that it won't happen again and for christ sake - please get over it as it was only a snog. I once knew a colleague that pissed themselves in front of their boss - which wasn't a good look.

| Play it cool - it was a snog. People at work love a good old chin wag, and the more effected you show you are, the more you're fueling the gos. Shrug it off like it doesnt bother you and focus your attention on a work related project instead. They will soon get bored once they see that your attention is now elsewhere.

| It's pretty common in this industry for people to hit it off - truthfully - most of us spend more time in work than at home so it's only natural that you've more chance of getting together with someone you work with.
